Awesome Applebees Dessert Recipe!
One of my all time favorite desserts is the apple bees blondie brownies. They taste awesome and are so rich and delicious, you have to try them. I hadn’t done any baking since I was little and my parents used to let me stand on a chair and help them mix a cake batter together! Having said that I found this tasty Applebees recipe surprisingly easy to make.
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup margarine
1 medium to large egg
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp vanilla extract (the natural one rather than the vanilla flavoring)
1/2 cup white chocolate chunks or chips
1/2 cup walnuts
To make the Applebees blondie brownies:
Firstly preheat the oven to 350 oC and grease and line a 9 inch square brownie pan with greaseproof paper.
Step 1, combine the dry ingredients (the first 4 on the list above).
Melt the margarine, add brown sugar, vanilla extract and the egg and mix well.
Add in the flour gradually until you have a smooth batter mix. Then finally add the chocolate chips or chunks and then pour the mixture into a square, pre prepared pan and then bake in the preheated oven for 20 or 25 minutes. The top should look golden brown when done. You can insert a toothpick into the center to make sure that it is cooked OK.
These are great served with a big dollop or two of high quality vanilla ice cream over the just warm brownies. Thats the great thing about making recipes from applebees yourself – you can make as big or small portions as you like!

One of my favorite things used to be going out to Applebees restaurant to eat. That is until I decided to say goodbye to paying so much for not only the food, but the service, tips and general overheads for the place. I can now make my own version using an Applebees Recipes copycat collection that taste just the same for a fraction of the cost!
Giant restaurant chains like Applebees, McDonalds, TGI Fridays and Popeyes all have one thing in common, they all serve delicious food to their customers that keeps them coming back for years. The secret to their success is their top secret recipes they keep firmly under wraps whenever anyone asks about them. However, top chefs exist who can manage to decode the meals by tasting them and they then share the recipes with everyone else. There is one guy who has done this and has now released a best selling book with all the famous restaurant recipes inside.
Inside his restaurant recipe cookbook you will find top recipes like; Applebees oriental salad, spinach dip, Applebees salads, the infamous Applebees blondies and much more. Its not just Applebees that he covers either, its a whole collection of recipes from famous restaurants from all over America. One of my all time favorite restaurant dessert recipes has to be the white chocolate truffle cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. They really know how to make quality cheesecake and now thanks to the guy that write the copy cat recipes book, so do I!
Another favorite of mine is the Applebees spinach artichoke dip. This is something I used to order all the time when I used to eat out there. I used to wish though that I could eat it with other regular meals at home as I often used to get cravings for it some days when it just wasn’t practical to travel to my local Applebees restaurant, like just before watching a Dvd. If I could have ordered a big pot of the spinach dip to take home I would have done, thats how addicted I was to it! Its probably a good thing they didn’t sell it by the gallon, because it would have likely cost me quite a bit with their markup on top. But now I always have a big batch of it in the fridge for whenever I want some, and it tastes just like the scrummy original Applebees Recipe I love so much! I have to tell you, if you get the copycat restaurant recipes book, try the spinach dip recipe because it is incredible.
